Lunch at the Squealing Pig. We had "toasties", their delicious toasted sandwiches and we even tried drinks from their menu of over 100 beers!
Half the table...we loved the veggie quesadillas and their hand-cut fries!
The other half...we loved the prosciutto, fig jam and gorgonzola toastie and the ham, cheddar and pineapple toastie. The food was delicious!
The outside of the restaurant. This place was so cute! Thanks to our tour coordinator who recommended it!
Crazy walking around Boston...trying to follow maps on our phones...having to turn around twice...this was harder than we thought! (but still fun!)
And a QUICK (meaning we were running late) walk over to the museum. It's a beautiful part of Boston.
The entrance to the museum. Every part of this museum (inside and out) was beautiful.
No pictures were allowed in the museum...so I snuck this photo in the ladies restroom!
We could not take pictures inside the museum. This picture of the interior courtyard is from the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum website.

At the end of our tour...here we are with our museum guide. What a great day!
Kellie and Kerrie ouside of Cheers! We decided to go there after the museum for a quick bite to eat.
Inside Cheers....what a fun and festive restaurant! Full of tourists....
Our 75th anniversary souvenirs! Kerrie and Kellie made these bookmarks for the whole group to remember this day!
Isabella was an avid gardener and she designed the entire museum around this beautifully landscaped courtyard. Almost every room in the museum has windows that look down on this idyllic scene.
This is a picture of one of the windows in the courtard. Isabella designed the courtyard after a 15th century Venetian palazzo.
This is Jaleo by John Singer Sargent. It is described as "daring, risky, unconventional, dramatic, erotically off-center, and odd." Gardner loved this painting and installed it beautifully under soft lights with a blue and white tile floor. When Sargent saw the display of his painting, he thanked Isabella for the unique arrangement, and told her that she did more for his painting than he ever did!
This is a portrait of Isabella Stewart Gardner, painted by John Singer Sargent in 1888. She paid him $3000. This is life-size and it's the first thing you see when you walk into the Gothic Room. This was quite scandalous in its day and Isabella's husband did not allow it to be showed publicly while he was living. Isabella was very particular, and Sargent had to paint her face nine times before she was finally satisfied with the result!
